Thoughts on Animations

Posted by Chronfolio - November 11th, 2021

I've noticed I kind of use my newgrounds as a diary of sorts surrounding art topics or my own art post. And ya'know what, I like that so I'll continue it.

I have been watching anime to get a better grasp on animation and I've noticed something quite odd and conflicting. In famous works such as DBZ and Naruto the movements are static and only the parts that matter such as the mouth when talking or the legs, hips, and arms when walking are re drawn to create the illusion of motion. But in works I aspire to like Telepute's creations the characters whole bodies actually breath and jiggles. It's like their alive. So now I find my self having to choose a path between going the route of the easier animation style for mass production, or the harder one to put life in to what I create. So now I'll make both for my 1st animation and see which works best for me.

Art really is a fantastic thing to be sinking my teeth in to. I definitely found what I want to do in life

Its always best to start simple & work your way up to the hard stuff.
